A New Old Flavor

Farm fencing equipment may seem very simple when you hear it for the very first time. You wonder how complicated can farm fencing be, considering it is normally just a couple of posts in the ground, with either planks or steel wire wrapped around the perimeter leaving only a space smaller than whatever animal you are trying to contain. Science however, was able to take this simple farm fence and add a twist of modern technology by replacing the planks with highly conductive copper or aluminium wire and running a current through it producing an electric circuit that can shock livestock in contact, this has been known as electric farm fences.Given that some farms are situated in remote locations unreachable by the city’s power grid, these farms have to rely on renewable sources of energy to supply for the plant’s operations. In line with this agenda, science has also developed a device to power electric fences called the solar electric fence charger; this product gathers energy from the sun and converts heat energy into electric energy using photovoltaic cells inside the charger. The main advantage of having the solar electric fence charger is that it can be run independently from the farm’s power supply giving it constant and uninterrupted source of energy. It can also store power enough for eight weeks without being exposed to the sun directly.  This makes it the perfect efficient and cost effective tool for farmers to keep your property and animals safe and contained.
