It’s okay to do touchups
Summer is almost over and soon it will be fall. Many thinks that it is spring is the best time to do things around the house. But you can still do few touchup things all year around. Things like smoke detectors and flashlight batteries should be checked for leakages and others on a regular schedule regardless of the season. Filters including air conditioners and your refrigerator water dispenser system should be checked regularly. Late model refrigerators indicate when it needs a new water filter but not the case when it comes to your air conditioners. Another obvious is your carpet and cleaning it will help you to improve your family’s health as well as wear and tear of your carpet. Clean your closets and donate excess, you can get a tax deduction when you file your tax return next year.
Your exterior paint is a different story. Make it a habit to look at the exterior of your house when you hand water your outside plants and landscaping or your vegetable garden. Exterior stucco cracks can allow water to get inside and damage wood and others. Similarly, scuffmarks on the inside walls and holes from nails need paint patch work too.
